Kim Millar is the weekday News Anchor for 7 Tasmania Nightly News – the state’s most watched television news bulletin.
She has decades of experience as a journalist, producer and presenter covering local, national and international news and is regularly called upon to host public events as an MC, facilitator, host or presenter. Based in Launceston, Tasmania, she is also a communications specialist producing written and branded content. She provides media training to clients covering such topics as dealing with the media, interview skills, crisis management, media strategies and media release preparation.
Kim conducts presentation and public speaking training for business executives, journalists, sports leaders and other public figures. Speaking in public can be an overwhelming experience for even the most successful business or community leader and Kim focusses on providing vocal coaching, relaxation and script content advice and support.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Journalism and Political Science) from Deakin University. Kim is an Ambassador for national youth mentoring organisation, RAISE, is a former board member for disability non-profit, Self Help, and a yoga teacher.
She is married to Peter, and they have two adult sons who know the rent will always be cheaper at home!
